Kids to Kids group homes are 2 six bed R.C.L. level 10 girls homes for abused, abandoned, and neglected children.  The target age group for both homes is 12yrs-17yrs. The Restoration House is located in Casitas Springs, Ca.  The Serenity House is located about 8 miles away in Ventura, Ca. 

 The goals for both Houses are the same:

To provide a safe and stable living environment for displaced and at risk girls between 12-17 years of age who may also have drug, alcohol or behavioral problems.

 To provide guidance for making choices and setting goals with responsibility and maturity.

 To encourage the education and recovery of any substance abuse activity or behavior that is physically, spiritually or emotionally damaging.

 To assist in the development of life skills including homemaking, study skills, anger, stress, and financial management.

To provide wholesome recreation, entertainment, and creative expression.

 To encourage academic proficiency with commitment to continued education.

 To recognize individual needs and issues, evaluating each on a case by case basis.

Here as some of the service provided by Kids to Kids homes.

 

1. required one hour drug and alcohol education one time a week.

2. required one outside 12 step recovery meeting one time a week.

3. required one hour participation in art therapy one time a week.

4. required one hour participation of individual therapy with licensed counselor one time a week.

5. required one hour participation of equine (horse) therapy one time a week.

6. required for all girls that qualify, enrollment into the Independent Living Program.

 

The Kids to Kids program is proven successful. 

 

Each House has a facility manager and and 24 hour around the clock awake supervision.
